ANNUAL REVIEW OF ENTOMOLOGY Vol. 24

We anticipate that the slightly increased type size introduced with the publication of this volume of the Annual Review of Entomology will be as welcome to our readers (especially those who have been with us during the past 24 years) as it has been to all involved in the production of this volume. This increase has resulted in a slightly larger, but not more expensive, volume than last year's.

Another change that may be noted in this volume is the inclusion of a short list of recent articles published in other Annual Review volumes that may be of interest to our entomological readership. Not visable but welcome has been the use of a computer in the preparation of the subject index.

We thank outgoing Committee member Dr. P. L. Adkisson for his valu-

able contributions to the Review during the past 5 years and are pleased to

announce that Dr. F. G. Maxwell has agreed to serve on this Committee

beginning 1979. Also, with this volume we welcome Dr. Frank J. Radovsky

as one of our Editors.

For next year, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Annual Review of Entomology, we have planned a Silver Jubilee volume, in which several of the articles will examine the past 25 years in specific areas of entomology.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of our contributing authors. The pains- taking efforts of our Production Editor, Ms. Roberta Little, and the stan- dard of excellence maintained by our compositor and printer are gratefully acknowledged
