Geologi lembar Misool, Irian Jaya : Geology of the Misool sheet area, Irian Jaya
The Indonesia-Australia Geological Mapping Project (previously the Irian Jaya Geological Mapping Project) is staffed by the Indonesian Geological Research and Development Centre (GRDC) and by the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources, Geology and Geophysics (BMR), and funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Mines and Energy and by the Australian International Development Assistance Bureau. The primary objective of the project has been to train GRDC professional and support staff in regional geological and geophysical mapping at 1:250 000 scale, and in the subsequent production of maps and reports of appropriate quality. In the course of the training program, the project mapped the western half of Irian Jaya at 1:250 000 scale between 1978 and 1982, and this report and its accompanying 1:250 000 geological and gravity map are part of a series comprehensively covering the area mapped. The Australian author publishes with the permission of the Director of the BMR. I!
